From the banks of the Arno in Florence

During the lockdown it is very lucky to be able to observe birds in the city. The banks of the Arno are home to a truly varied and sometimes spectacular bird life.

The Great Backyard Bird Count 2021, organized by E Bird, was held from 12 to 15 February and I participated from the sidewalk of the Lungarno.

Yellow iris, yellow beak, white "collar": it is a Wood Pigeon - Iride gialla, becco giallo, "collarino" bianco: è un colombaccio.
