Drawings

It's fun trying to draw our favorite subjects with a graphite pencil. I started drawing during the 2021 lockdown, and after several exercises I am pleased to show the first results.

The dipper in Valsesia was always too far away to take a good picture, but with binoculars and pencil I captured it - Il merlo acquaiolo in Valsesia era sempre troppo lontano per fare una buona foto, ma sono riuscito a catturarlo con il binocolo e la matita. Alagna Valsesia - August 2021

In October the black-winged stilts have already left for Africa. I had taken this picture at the Pond in the Parco della Piana di Sesto. - In ottobre i cavalieri d'Italia sono già ripartiti per l'Africa. Questo l'avevo fotografato nello Stagno dei Cavalieri al Parco della Piana di Sesto.

European robin - Pettirosso (Erithacus rubecula) European robin - Pettirosso. Parco della Piana di Sesto. December 2018. The  European robin  ( Erithacus rubecula )  was formerly classified as a member of the thrush  family ( Turdidae ) but is now considered to be an Old World flycatcher  ( Muscicapidae ) . It is found across Europe, east to Western Siberia and south to North Africa; it is sedentary in most of its range except the far north.
